What to Expect in Class

Our line dance classes are carefully structured to help you build confidence and progress naturally, while still keeping every session fun and varied.

  • Lessons follow on from one another, so we practise the same dances over a couple of weeks

  • New dances are introduced regularly, usually every other week

  • Each session begins with two-three warm-up dances, including one or two “straight in” dances with no teaching

  • We revisit dances you’ve already mastered in creative ways, for example:

    • Dancing in contra

    • Dancing in a circle

    • Dancing two dances at the same time
    • Dancing to different styles of music

Because of this, no two classes are ever the same, even when working on familiar dances.

Why This Works for You

This approach means:

  • Beginners can learn at a comfortable pace

  • Regular dancers continue to improve technique and confidence

  • Everyone stays engaged, challenged, and motivated

Whether you’re new to line dancing or building on existing experience, our classes are designed to be supportive, progressive, and fun.
