Hi! I’m Carina, your line dance instructor.

Mum, line dance lover, science nerd and self-declared queen of laughing at herself!

I’ve been dancing since I was around seven years old, and I haven’t stopped since. Over the years, I’ve earned many dance certificates and medals, and I’ve even had the chance to compete both here in the UK and across the pond in the U.S. Line dancing has taken me on some incredible journeys but my favourite place to be is right here, sharing the joy of dance with others.

My teaching style?

Fun, friendly , and full of energy! I’m all about creating a welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable to give it a go. I love those high-energy routines that get your heart pumping , but I also believe in slowing down and really feeling the music . Whether you're brand new to line dancing or finding your groove again, I want you to enjoy the process and discover your own rhythm .

What keeps me going?

That “light bulb” moment when a move finally clicks and you see someone’s confidence light up the room . And of course, the sweaty smiles after a great dance session are pretty addictive too .

When I’m not on the dance floor, I’m a Director of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics). yes, teaching is in my DNA! I’m mum to two amazing little boys plus one not-so-little boy in my husband , who graciously puts up with the endless line dance memorabilia and science puns at home.

Why dance with me?

I have been line dancing since childhood, with a lifelong passion for dance and teaching that shines through in every class I run.

I hold Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Gold Bar Levels 1, 2, and 3 in line dancing through the British Western Dance Association, reflecting years of dedication, training, and progression within the line dance community.

I am also a fully qualified line dance instructor, having passed my Level 1 and 2 instructor examination with Distinctions (and above!) through Everything Line Dance Association (ELDA). I am currently awaiting the results of my Level 3 instructor qualification, further strengthening my professional credentials.

Beyond teaching, I am an active choreographer, creating my own original line dances. One of my choreographies has been selected for showcase at the World Dance Championships in the USA in August 2026, an incredible honour and a career highlight.

My dance background extends beyond line dancing. I have:

  • Previously been a professional Zumba instructor

  • Danced salsa professionally

  • Trained across multiple dance styles, giving me a strong foundation in rhythm, musicality, and movement

All of this experience feeds directly into my teaching style. My classes are:

  • Clear and well-structured

  • Supportive and confidence-building

  • Suitable for Beginners through to Intermediate dancers
